Job Summary

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is seeking a competent and experienced Administrative Officer to join its team in Damascus Office. The Administrative Officer will be responsible for executing and coordinating daily administrative and logistical tasks, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and providing support to various teams within the office.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage office administrative operations, including logistical arrangements, procurement, and facility management.
• Handle administrative files and records, including contracts, official correspondence, and periodic reports.
• Support the recruitment process by scheduling interviews, preparing employee files, and organizing onboarding procedures.
• Oversee operational expenses and ensure compliance with the allocated budget.
• Coordinate meetings and events, attend meetings, and ensure necessary resources are available.
• Handle official correspondence and complaints with government entities and local partners when needed.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the management within the scope of work.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in administration, human resources, or related fields.
Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships within and outside the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good knowledge of local labor laws and regulations related to NGOs.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and administrative data with confidentiality.

Work Environment

• The work will be based at SNHR’s Damascus office, with the possibility of local travel as needed.
• A professional work environment requiring interaction with multiple teams within the organization and external partners.
