Job Description

Working in a busy Music Agency to help maintain first class accounts for our Artists.

This is an exciting role for someone with an eye for accounting and attention to detail, who can work under pressure to strict deadlines. The role involves assisting the Client Accountants in preparing the artist accounts for payment and review.

This role will be based in our London, Music UK office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Assisting senior client accountants, client accountants and agents with artist fee credit control
• Weekly credit control report preparation, including highlighting aged debt to team members
• Daily payment run, foreign payments and daily chaps
• Daily mail-outs of artist statements and commission invoices
• Weekly filing of artist statements
• Weekly reconciliation of currency conversion accounts
• Weekly commission currency exchange rates added to bespoke CRM
• Weekly refund preparation, including liaising with promoters to telephone and verify bank details
• Renaming receipts and uploading to bespoke CRM
• Various ad hoc duties as necessary

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

• Ideally a degree in accounting or finance
• Ability to juggle several tasks at once and consistently deliver high-quality work to tight timescales
• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
• Prioritisation and time management skills
• Calm under pressure
• A passion for numbers and interest in gaining experience in a finance role
