Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to work with the Investment Research Team’s senior leaders based in the UK and support the wider team. It’s a great opportunity to join a dynamic global business in a collaborative local team environment.
What can you expect?
In this role you will be providing critical operational support to the team to ensure a high quality level of service is provided. This involves everything from diary management and meeting scheduling, travel booking and expense reimbursements through to document formatting and working on ad hoc projects.
We will rely on you to:
- Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and pro-activity in providing general support and manage the administrative component of a large team
- Provide admin assistance to Senior Partner & Partners, including diary management.
- Work with in-house databases and systems (administrative systems such as i-expense, BCD travel, WebCas, iProcurement etc.)
- Contribute to presentation materials, in a timely manner and as per Mercer standards
- Assist with planning for large events including room bookings, ordering catering and arranging IT support
- Interface with other parts of the business and external parties to answer queries.

What you need to have:
We are seeking a professional, Administrative Assistant who demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm and pro-activity, along with:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good team player who enjoys working with a positive and highly motivated team of professionals
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage competing deadlines and works well under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills, including the capacity to anticipate needs of senior stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, when occasional projects require extra resources or outside of core hours
- Intermediate Microsoft Office essential
- A desire to learn and expand skills and knowledge
What makes you stand out:
- Experience of working within a professional / financial services organisation is desired but not essential
