We are seeking to appoint an Administrative Assistant
To commence 22nd April 2025
Grade 2, Point 3-4 (£24,027 -£24,404 pro rata)
Contract Type: 35 hours per week – Term time only. 8am – 3.30pm
Brierley CE (VC) Primary School’s Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Administration Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Business Manager, to undertake reception and general administration duties for the School.
The Administrative Assistant is the first port of call for visitors to the school, parents, pupils and staff.
The successful candidate will be aware of the aims of the school. They will be welcoming, personable and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner, contributing to the Church school ethos
The ideal candidate will be proactive with excellent interpersonal skills, well organised and enjoy being part of a busy team.
Previous experience in administrative work is essential. Working within a school office is desirable but not required.
Duties include (but not limited to):
o Communicating with parents and other stakeholders in a professional manner
o Answering telephone and face to face enquiries
o Signing in visitors
o Assisting with pupil first aid/welfare duties, liaising with parents/staff etc
o Maintaining manual and computerised records/management information systems
o Maintaining and producing reports/records/information/data as required e.g. pupil data
o Undertaking word-processing and other IT based tasks using Word, Excel, Databases, Spreadsheets, Internet etc
o Administration of school meals, clubs, visits, music lessons etc
o Sorting and distributing mail
o Maintaining stock levels
o Compliance with all school policies including child protection and safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and equal opportunities
