Administrative Assistant to Senior Nursing Leadership Team

Up to £35,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits
37.5 hours a week – Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (4 days in the office and 1 day working from home)

We are recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to our Senior Nursing Leadership Team to provide high quality administrative and clerical support to the hospitals senior nursing leadership team. To effectively coordinate diaries and facilitate cross departmental working ensuring that departmental priorities are met
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Coordinate diaries of the senior nursing leadership team members, ensuring that they are available for cross departmental meetings and events and avoiding any clashes or overlaps
- Support and facilitate the planning and delivery of meetings involving the senior nursing leadership team, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, generating action plans and following up on outcomes.
- Manage and coordinate the review process of policies and documents owned by the senior nursing leadership team, ensuring that they are updated, approved and communicated in line with the hospital standards and regulations.
- Produce, edit and quality check various documents for the senior nursing leadership team, such as presentations, policy documents, work instructions and newsletters, ensuring that they are accurate, clear and consistent.
- Provide support to HR processes where required by acting as a note taker for interviews, appraisals, disciplinary hearings and grievances involving the senior nursing leadership team or their staff.
- Update and maintain action logs for the senior nursing leadership team, tracking the progress and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Support the senior nursing leadership team in undertaking day to day department managerial and organizational tasks.
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the senior nursing leadership team, such as filing, data entry/ analysis, and research.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Significant experience within a similar administrative role supporting complex teams or stakeholders across a number of departments or services.
- Experience in the coordination and management of diaries
- Strong administrative and multitasking skills.
- Experience in meeting management including minute taking and action plan coordination
- Experience in a healthcare setting desirable
- Good standard of secondary level education to include English language and mathematics skills
