In this role, you will provide essential daily operational support to the team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to embed and shape future quality and risk controls.

Based in Cardiff, our team is an integral part of Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation (T&T) practice and operates within the firm’s Quality & Risk Management function. Our primary focus is to support our client-facing colleagues and manage quality and risk matters within the UK T&T business. This is essential to safeguarding Deloitte’s reputation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining profitability.

Our Quality team undertakes a diverse range of activities. This role will primarily focus on supporting two core areas:

• Sales Process: Providing comprehensive support and governance throughout the sales process to ensure the firm secures work successfully.
• Quality Assurance: Supporting the management and execution of robust Quality Assurance processes.

You will deliver hands-on operational support to facilitate efficient meetings and maintain critical operational records. Collaborating closely with our Quality team and senior stakeholders across the firm, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our processes. A steadfast commitment to high quality and meticulous attention to detail is essential. This role offers potential for learning and development within a highly valued function supporting a £2 billion UK business.

Essentials:

• Strong and confident communicator, taking personal responsibility in dealing with queries to/from stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented, committed to maintaining high standards of quality and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in IT, including a strong command of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. While familiarity with in-house tools is a plus, dedicated training will be provided to bridge any gaps.

Desirables:

• Experience supporting business functions.
• Experience in Consulting or risk management would be advantageous.
• Ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.

National Quality and Risk Management

We ensure we manage our business with integrity. This includes developing and managing assurance and business risk frameworks, anti-money laundering, addressing any potential conflicts of interest amongst clients and maintaining our independence from them, ensuring we’re compliant and managing the security of our people.

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your “Immediate Family Members” are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
