Job Description:

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to one (1) of four (4) administrative cores in the School of Public Health. Responsibilities include greeting visitors to the school, providing access to the building, and coordinating space. Troubleshooting office issues as they arise and proactively manages the office functions of the administrative core. This position provides logistical and event support, transaction processing, and responding to inquiries. The position is also responsible for providing administrative support for the administrative core, depending on the need and availability.

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. One (1) to two (2) years of experience as an office manager, office clerk, administrative assistant, front office manager, or similar role. Business or office-related financial experience preferred. 

Job Competencies

Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills

A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce reports, assign tasks, accept instructions and handle vendor contracts.

Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work

Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks

Strong interpersonal skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google email and calendar functionality, with basic knowledge of computer troubleshooting skills

Reliability and discretion

Initiative and ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Effective interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.

Possesses a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community.
