About us

We’re looking for individuals who are committed to public service and making a difference in people’s lives to deliver justice. If you are interested in developing a career with a real purpose, please apply.

You will be responsible for creating and updating records on an in-house computer system and will contact relevant parties to give advice on the completion of forms or court procedures and provide excellent customer service. You will make decisions on the most effective method of enforcement, for example, money can be deducted from an offender’s earnings or benefits. Other compliance actions include the use of telephone and text message chasing and tracing tools. Warrants can also be issued instructing approved enforcement agents to seize and sell goods belonging to the offender.

You will have the confidence to engage with Enforcement Delivery Managers, Judiciary, Magistracy, Cluster Staff, and other internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and customers to collect information, check facts, communicate or enforce judicial decisions.

Your skills and experience

  • Resilient, resourceful and adaptable
  • Friendly and approachable manner with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT proficient with the ability to learn and adapt to different technologies and software packages.

Further details:

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. All applications for part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns will be considered in accordance with the MoJ’s Flexible Working policy.
