Job Location: This position will be located at MO DHSS, 7545 S. Lindbergh Blvd., Ste. 110, St. Louis, MO 63125

  • Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly (age 60+) and disabled (ages 18+).
  • Conduct home visits to observe surroundings, interview victims and caregivers.
  • Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective service’s needs.
  • Be available to be in an on call rotation with other members of your team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High level communication and interviewing skills.
  • Able to work independently and show initiative within a team environment.
  • Able to be resilient, think critically, and be innovative.
  • Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience such as LPN, RN, or social service supports, etc. experience may be substituted for each year of required education).
  • For the APS Specialist II position, one or more years of experience in Adult Protective Services or other related human services field.
