• 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday jobs-near-me.org 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM

General Purpose of the Role

The Converting Operator – Tier Four is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring products meet performance and quality standards while keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate converting machinery per production and safety specs

• Perform machine startup, shutdown, and basic troubleshooting

• Monitor machine operations to maintain consistent output and product quality

• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance

• Adjust machine settings as needed for optimal performance

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Operate material handling equipment (electric pallet jacks, roll lifts, hoists)

• Complete production logs and document machine issues

• Perform quality checks according to Pregis Quality Management System

• Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies

• Other duties as assigned

education & experience

• High School diploma or GED preferred

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proven machine operating experience and mechanical aptitude

Key Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and safety practices

• Basic math and computer skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Solid work ethic and dependable attendance
