Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking an Advanced Planning Support Specialist to provide future planning support to the State Emergency Response Team (SERT). This role consolidates key operational data and coordinates with Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), the Situation Unit, and Technical Services to develop products supporting action, strategic, transition, and demobilization planning processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide future planning support to ongoing incident operations
• Consolidate data from ESFs, Situation Unit, and Technical Services for planning products
• Support development of action, strategic, transition, and demobilization plans
• Incorporate modeling and forecasting into future planning efforts
• Prepare briefing materials and updates for leadership review
• Contribute to the development of planning timelines and objectives
• Assist in ensuring planning outputs align with operational priorities

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in an emergency planning or strategic planning role
• Experience coordinating with multi-agency emergency management stakeholders
• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable planning inputs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in future planning support during federally declared disasters
• Familiarity with ICS and emergency management planning cycles
• Experience with WebEOC or similar systems
• Advanced ICS certification (ICS-300/400)

• Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

• Travel Required: Yes – up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field environments, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
