• Overview** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: + Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions + Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects + Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care + Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being + Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:** + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients + Strong communication skills + Strong medical decision-making skills + Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times + Documenting in a timely and thorough manner **SCHEDULE DETAILS:** + Schedule Details: Monday – Friday + Practices Covered: Kissimmee and St. Cloud **REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:** + Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) + Active BLS required + DEA required + Valid, current Florida Medical License **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:** + Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license + BLS & ACLS + DEA License **Category:** Physician Services **Req ID:** KIS-2025-A9-NSI-Psy-New We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
