Here’s what you’d do:
- Advanced Energy is seeking a skilled Test Engineer with a strong background in operating precision, calibrated measurement equipment.
- The position performs a variety of technical, multi-disciplined tasks early in the Product.
- Development Process to provide timely, flexible, universal tools and processes.
- The Test Engineer makes knowledgeable, data-driven decisions and employs innovative technologies with optimal control and maximum speed and flexibility.
- Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products and for product design changes throughout the product’s lifecycle.
- Develop and execute testing plans independently.
- Test prototypes and present results to a small, cross-disciplinary team.
- Operate precision, calibrated measurement equipment.
- Write programming scripts for automated testing using Octave and Python.
- Collaborate with a talented, high-paced team that prides itself on delivering quality products.
Here’s what you’ll get:
Pay: $33-$48/hr.
Hours: 40 hours/week.
Length: Temp (6 months).

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Octave and Python, and be capable of independently writing programming scripts for automated testing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience solving complex technical problems with minimal assistance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using calibrated test equipment.
- Master’s Degree.
- Doctor of Philosophy.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing test environment.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to influence design team decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Expertise in programming automation and data collection.
- Experience working on agile/scrum teams.
- Familiarity with Jira.
