Individually these are just words, but together they are our Values – Care, Commitment, Community, and Confidence.The Agile Centre of Excellence (CoE) Lead is a servant leader, coach, and guide that ensures the delivery teams within Aviva live the Agile values, principles, and practices so that they team can achieve delivery excellence, high satisfaction in their work, and a motivating work environment.What you’ll do:Sets the roadmap and vision for the development of the Agile CoE within AvivaHires, manages, coaches and develops a team of Scrum Masters within the Agile CoE, including taking hiring versus outsourcing decisions and assessing the performance of external Scrum MastersAnticipates demands for Agile key roles within the transformation portfolio and works with stakeholders incl. Transformation Management Office (TMO) to develop approaches to fill supply gapsActively coaches and trains Scrum Masters, Product Owners and, as applicable, other key roles in Agile delivery. This will include key responsibilities ways of Agile working and Agile ceremonies, tools and templates support.In the medium term, develops approaches to scale Agile across the transformation portfolioAdvises and leads Agile delivery teams within Aviva on Agile set-up, practices, process, and overall approach to executing quickly and with qualityWork with key stakeholders within TMO, IT and the business to define key Agile metrics aimed at enabling forecasting/predictability of delivery. Works with the Agile delivery teams to capture the agreed-on metrics, address data shortcomings and provide reliable progress reports across the transformation portfolioWork with stakeholders within TMO to augment ACF (Aviva Change Framework) artefacts with Agile metrics and toolsActively drives Agile maturity assessments and health checks across the transformation portfolioOwns and develop key onboarding material for transformation initiativesCoaches, mentors, and trains Aviva delivery teams members on industry leading Agile, Scrum, and Kanban processes; motivates and supports the team by answering general questions and providing guidanceConsolidates learnings, approaches, best practices across the Agile initiatives, shares them out within the wider Aviva Agile community and actively conducts knowledge-sharing eventsRepresents Aviva at key Agile industry events and communities of practiceWhat you’ll bring10+ years’ experience in delivering Agile solutions as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner or equivalent, leading 3-5 teams.An expertunderstanding of Agile values and principles.Profound knowledge of a range of Agile frameworks, with a focus on Scrum.Ideally, Insurance or Financial Services business knowledge.Good stakeholder management skills and an ability to inspire individuals and teams to change and improve.Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques and software development processes:Self-motivation and willingness to learn and explore new ideas.Certifications in CSM, PSM, is a must – in addition, certification in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred.What you’ll get:Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.Outstanding Career Development opportunities.We’ll support your professional development education.Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per yearEmployee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusionCorporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental healthHybrid flexible work modelAviva Canada has an accommodation process in place to provide accommodations for employees with disabilities.
