AHMG’s advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealth’s eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for Women AdventHealth Medical Group Psychiatry at Winter Park Full-time opportunity in an outpatient setting for an APP or PA-C ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: + Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions + Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects + Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience + Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care + Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being + Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients + Strong communication skills + Strong medical decision-making skills + Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times + Documenting in a timely and thorough manner SCHEDULE DETAILS: + Schedule Details: Monday – Friday + Hospitals covered: AH Winter Park REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: + Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) + Active BLS required + DEA required + Valid, current Florida Medical License LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION: + Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license + BLS & ACLS + DEA License **Category:** Physician Services **Schedule:** Full-time **Req ID:** ORL-2024-A14-NSI-Psy-New We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
