Al Medical Engineering at School of Biomedical Engineering

The Role

Recognizing the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in MedTech, the School of BME at Tsinghua University is thrilled to announce the availability of several faculty positions in the emerging research direction of AI Medical Engineering.

We invite outstanding candidates who have demonstrated excellence in research and education in AI, machine learning, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related areas, and have a strong vision for integrating these cutting-edge technologies with medical engineering to advance healthcare solutions.

 

Responsibilities

• Lead innovative research projects in the intersection of AI and medical engineering.
• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to AI in healthcare, machine learning, biomedical data science, and related subjects.
• Supervise PhD and Master’s students and post-doctoral researchers, fostering the next generation of leaders in AI medical engineering.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across departments and industries to spearhead breakthroughs in AI healthcare technologies.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and development of the School of BME, enhancing its reputation as a global leader in AI Medical Engineering.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong focus on AI/ML technologies.
• An outstanding track record of research achievements in AI as applied to healthcare, including significant publications in high-impact journals and successful funding acquisition.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering high-quality teaching and student supervision at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaborative skills, with an aptitude for building strong professional relationships across disciplines.
