Analog IC Design Intern/Co-Op

If you are a motivated student with skills and interest deploying AI techniques to RF/analog integrated circuit (IC) design, Skyworks’ San Jose is looking for you! As a home to a seasoned team of analog and RF professionals, you will work side by side with a mentor and grow your skills working on real products that will end up in the next generation of cellular phones. Get your foot in the door to analog/RF IC design for cellular phones using agentic AI in one of the most cutting-edge and impactful industries connecting people across the globe. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI systems and circuit design, contributing to next-generation design automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply agentic AI models to assist analog and RF circuit design tasks including topology selection
• Implement simulation and verification methodologies leveraging AI agents for iterative design refinement.
• Analyze large datasets from circuit simulations to train and validate AI predictive models
• Document methodologies and present findings to cross-functional teams

Required experience and Skills

• A positive, can-do attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program studying Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Exposure to reinforcement learning or agent-based AI systems
• Completed coursework in analog design
• Skilled in Python coding
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
