- Statement of Qualifications –
You must submit a resume and Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) with your application. A cover letter is not required.An SOQ is a discussion of how an applicant’s education, training, experience, and skills meet the criteria in the duty statement and qualify the applicant for the position. Describe your experience as it relates to the questions below. Number your responses, use 12-point font and no more than 2 pages.1. What experience or training do you have analyzing policy or legislation and developing issue briefings?2. What experience do you have working with elected officials and legislative staff, including related to proposed legislation or public policy issues?3. What experience do you have coordinating cross-functional teams or projects?Tips for writing your SOQ: Be specific when describing your experience. Provide the total number of years spent performing relevant roles. This helps the application review panel fully assess your experience and abilities.
