We currently have a full-time opportunity for an Analyst Technology Strategy. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON; Alberta, AB.Here’s where you’ll be focusing:As a Analyst Technology Strategy with Sobeys, you will:A typical day would involve:Drive strategy analysis to:

• Support Director and Manager of Technology Strategy in driving the integrated technology, data, analytics strategy with cross-functional teams and CTAO leadership, in support of overall company strategic and financial objectives.
• Support the Director and Manager of Technology Innovation in identifying, assessing, and implementing proof of concepts for emerging technology and operational innovations. For successful proof of concepts, build plan to scale and industrialize.
• Conduct comprehensive research and stay abreast of emerging technology trends, consumer trends, advancements, market sensing, and competitive intelligence.
• Identify, analyze and effectively model data from various sources for opportunities, risks and actionable insights. Develop and present reports to senior Technology & Analytics leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of long-term technology roadmaps and provide strategic recommendation to improve technology adoption and integration.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to senior management and stakeholders with clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate and manage multiple strategic projects and tasks, ensuring timely delivery. Effectively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage action items and timelines, monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure technology insights and strategy is communicated across CTAO (with Planning and Execution Lead)
• Collect feedback, track and improve communication effectiveness and CTAO insights strategy.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in technology strategy, strategic planning framework involving data and analytics, digital and emerging technologies.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, multitasking, problem solving and prioritization skills.
• Advance level knowledge of primary and secondary research methodology including design and implementation, data collection, trend and results analysis, presentation and qualitative and quantitative evaluation.
• Project management experience to drive pilots is an asset.
• Retail or consumer goods industry experience is an asset.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
• Excellent stakeholder management experience with effectively organizing, communicating and reporting projects alongside the business.
• Comfortable with becoming an SME for technology, business strategy and market intelligence.
• Experience in technology or business consulting is an asset.
• Project management experience to drive pilots is an asset.
• Retail or consumer goods industry experience is an asset.
