Position Summary The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive health care for assigned patients/community as determined by scope of practice guidelines and specialty. This includes completion of a health assessment, determining diagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment within the parameters of medical staff privileges at UI Health and area of expertise. The APRN participates in the educational experiences of nursing students, medical students, residents and other health care disciplines. The APRN is required to have and maintain a faculty appointment in order to receive clinical privileges to practice at UI Health.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
- Graduation from accredited APRN program.
- Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice.
- Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required.
- Certification as an APHON Pediatric Oncology Nurse
- A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in pediatric oncology is required.
