Job Title: Assembler

Job Description

As an assembler, you will be responsible for unbundling wires and components/connectors, and kitting. Your duties will include standing at a billboard to place wires on it and connecting them together, forming an assembly of wire harnesses, and conducting electrical tests by pushing a button. You will also tape wires together.

• Tape wires together.

Essential Skills

• General production and assembly skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools.
• experience in manufacturing and production environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.
• Basic math skills (adding/subtracting).
• Basic computer literacy, including navigating tablets, opening files, and reading emails.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Pass a mechanical test during the interview process.

Work Environment

The company is an ISO certified electronics part supplier specializing in building wire harnesses for electronic use. The facility is not climate-controlled, but it is heated in the winter, though it can get hot in the summer. Work hours are from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays. The dress code requires wearing a T-shirt, pants without holes, rips, or tears, and closed-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 – $18.00/hr.
