ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembly of electro-mechanical products of basic to medium complexity under ISO9001:2000 guidelines.
* Basic electrical wiring and assembly of components
* Under limited supervision, build units of basic to medium complexity
* Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and wire lists
* Train to build Blue Folder units of complex design
* May be solder certified
* Uses tools to perform required tasks, i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, calipers, crimpers, etc.
* Performs other duties as assigned

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, talk and hear.
* Lifting 20 pounds as an individual, or 40 pounds with assistance.
* Using and operating mechanical tools and equipment common to the production floor.

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. * Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and cleaning chemicals.

Training
* Soldering and crimping experience and/or training
* Operation of new tooling
* Suggested additional education – 6 month course in basic electrical as required by product demand or new customer contract.
* Recommend Assembler II join Society of Manufacturing Engineers to keep up with the latest technologies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
This position requires electrical assembly experience and intermediate to advanced knowledge of basic electrical wiring and components. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. The ability to learn soldering principles when instructed and possess the physical attributes that would allow one to solder safely is essential. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
* Ability to speak and understand English as it relates to understanding direction from Production Supervisor and performing given task.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Skill to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to use as-needed mathematical concepts.
* Skill to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw logical conclusions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years of varied and applicable experience and demonstration of ability to understand and perform assigned tasks.
