The professorial rank will be determined according to the candidate’s qualifications and experience. This is a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.The candidate will be appointed to clinical practice in the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). The MUHC is one of McGill’s major teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal.The MUHC hospitals houses four 3T MRI systems, five 1.5T MRI systems, two PET-CT scanners, 10 CT scanners and 30 ultrasound units. It comprises approximately 800 beds and performs more than 500,000 radiologic procedures per year. Exceptional research opportunities exist both within the department and across departments within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and with other faculties in the University.Montreal, the second-most populous city in Canada, is an important centre of education, commerce, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, information technology, art, design, and culture. It was also ranked 4th best city to live in North American in 2019 by the annual Mercer survey and 9th best city in the world to live in by Time Out Index 2022.Job Duties:The successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in all aspects of McGill University’s academic mission (i.e.; teaching, involvement in academic and administrative committees), and provide excellent clinical teaching and supervision to residents and medical students, and to pursue scholarly activities in advancing clinical care or clinical research.The candidate will be responsible for clinical, teaching, and research activities in US, CT, MRI and non-vascular interventions, and will join the Abdominal Imaging section at the MUHC, which currently includes six full-time body imaging faculty members and seven part-time members.McGill faculty members are expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community. A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also expected.Qualifications and Education Requirements:Candidates must hold an MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent;Candidates must be certified in Diagnostic Radiology (Royal College or equivalent), and must have completed a formal fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Nonvascular Intervention;Candidates must be eligible for a license to practise medicine from the Collège des médecins du Québec;Candidates should demonstrate that they have the potential to become an outstanding clinician, teacher, and scholar in the fields of US, CT, MRI and non-vascular interventions;Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families and health care professionals;Leadership experience and administrative skills are considered an asset.Faculty/Department/Unit:
