Cyber & Intelligence Operations (CIO) in the College of Engineering (ENGR) is seeking a candidate for a career-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice Rank for the Intelligence & Information Operations degree program for on-campus and online students. We seek a candidate who can demonstrate outstanding teaching methods as well as the ability to develop, maintain, and teach undergraduate courses in a variety of formats (e.g., on-campus and online). The program places a high value on collaboration both within the specific degree program and across other related disciplines. We seek individuals who bring leadership, and a commitment to academic excellence. We are particularly interested in candidates who can work with a multifaceted student population, stakeholders, and colleagues and will demonstrate curricula development and instruction consistent with the department and college’s purpose, vision, and values. The desired Information Operations teaching areas include, but are not limited to, the following: Information Operations (IO) terms, concepts, and authorities; Deception, Counter-deception, and Counter-intelligence; Psychological Operations (PSYOP); Information Warfare (IW); Computational Propaganda; Virtual Persona/Bot creation & management; Applied Agentic AI; Applied Generative AI; and offensive and defensive information operations within the operational and information environments. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice, Intelligence & Information Operations will contribute to building a strong team of faculty and staff who are committed to preparing traditional, post-traditional, and transfer students for success in the 21st-century workforce.
