Assistant Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to support our finance and accounting teams as we continue to scale our operations.
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the Controller in managing the company’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in public accounting and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all financial information
- Assist in managing general ledger activities and balance sheet reconciliations
- Collaborate with the Controller to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making
- Manage the preparation of various regulatory and tax filings
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff
Qualifications:
- CPA certification required
- 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and compliance
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control procedures
- Experience with ERP systems (experience with SAP, NetSuite is a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medium to large organization
