Job DetailJob ID 54724Job Description54724We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Lettings Manager to join a team in a small yet thriving village location. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a close-knit, hands-on environment. Unlike larger, compartmentalized operations, this position offers variety and the chance to be directly involved in many aspects of the lettings process.Reputation is paramount-excellent service and client care are at the heart of everything they do. They are seeking someone who values relationship-building and understands the importance of word-of-mouth in a close community.Key Responsibilities

• Team Management:
• Oversee and manage the daily performance of the Property Manager, although they directly report to the Director of Property Management
• Set daily expectations and goals for you and the lettings team within your office.
• Business Development & Growth:
• Meet and exceed the business’s targets.
• Work alongside the sales team to generate new business leads.
• Identify opportunities to introduce our lettings service to new landlords.
• Upsell insurance products to clients.
• Lettings Operations:
• Register new tenants and respond to Rightmove & Zoopla leads.
• Book and conduct property viewings and valuations.
• Oversee the on-boarding process for tenants to ensure a seamless experience.
• Client Care & Compliance:
• Ensure the business adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Identify rent reviews and oversee necessary adjustments.
• Chase late rent payments when the Property Manager is unavailable.
• Provide assistance with property management and inspections when required.
• Reporting & Administration:
• Maintain detailed KPI records.
• Assist with basic accounting tasks.
• Attend monthly management meetings and report directly to the Area Director and Managing Director.
• Arrange your diary to cover staff absence.

What We’re Looking For * A hands-on team player with a proactive attitude.

• Experience in a lettings management role or similar.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially in client care.
• A good understanding of compliance and legal obligations within lettings.
• The ability to work effectively in a smaller, less compartmentalized team environment.
