| Posting Summary | The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Medical School is seeking to hire a Director of Pediatric Palliative Care. The candidate will be an MD or DO faculty member preferably with eligibility or board certification in hospice and palliative medicine. At RWJMS Pediatric physicians see patients and mentor students and residents on our ambulatory clinic primarily at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, ancillary locations and inpatient medical units of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, a facility on our academic child health campus, which also includes the PSEG Children’s Specialized Hospital (for acute Rehabilitation) and the Child Health Institute of NJ. The children’s hospital is adjacent to the RWJUH adult hospital which is connected via a bridge to the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ – the only NCI designated center in the state of New Jersey. Our physicians participate in onsite pediatric coverage, both ambulatory and inpatient as well as provide telemedicine coverage., on call, weekend and holiday coverage. We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for teaching, enjoy caring for children with a wide variety of conditions including those who are medically complex. We value leadership. As a part of Rutgers University RWJMS faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the basic and social sciences, other clinical arms of the university (e.g. Social Work, Pharmacy) and the Rutgers School of Public Health, among others.
