The College of Education at San Diego State University invites applicants for a unique tenure-track 10-month Assistant Professor position focusing on quantitative research methods, starting in August 2025. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative scholar who will contribute to both their home department/school and the College while making scholarly contributions to their field of study.
Position Overview:
This unique position will have a college-wide impact. The successful candidate will have teaching and consultation responsibilities in both their home department/school and across the College of Education. The home department/school placement is flexible, depending on the candidate’s expertise and preference. The current base teaching load for the college is nine units per semester with some opportunity for a reduced teaching load at the start of the position to be negotiated.
Position Responsibilities:
The minimum salary for this position is based on the current CSU salary schedule for Assistant Professors and may be revised based on contract collective bargaining. The anticipated salary range is from $86,000 to $92,000 for a full-time academic year. Salary placement will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, and academic discipline, and salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances. 7. have expertise or demonstrated commitment to developing expertise in cross-cultural communication and collaboration, and/or
8. have research interests that contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education.
