The School is seeking professors whose contributions to the discipline and profession of nursing are well established or emerging. These contributions should be reflected in the domains of research, teaching, practices and/or leadership. The School is particularly interested in applications from equity-seeking groups, as well as those whose research advances the interests of equity-seeking groups.In addition to seeking excellence in research, the School also seeks to meet specific needs for its multiple teaching programs and graduate supervision. All programs are offered in both official languages (French and English), with students able to complete their degree in the language of their choice.The School of Nursing includes formal partnerships with all of Ottawa’s major health care institutions to enhance research capacity and provide students with unparalleled clinical experiences.   • BSc Nursing
  • Ph.D. in Nursing or related field.
  • At least one graduate degree must be in nursing.

Work experience:

  • A program of research (established or emerging) in a field of significance to nursing.
  • A demonstrated (or potential) track record in teaching at the University level, including a teaching philosophy.
  • Demonstrated involvement in service to the field of nursing and/or community.
  • Excellent communication skills in either English or French. Note that passive knowledge of the other official language in Canada is a minimal requirement for tenure.
  • Member in good standing of the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligible to become registered in Ontario and a member in good standing in their former jurisdiction)
