Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About The Role

  • Currie & Brown is looking for quantity surveyors for our Hong Kong office. The successful candidates will contribute to the provision of quantity surveying services to Currie & Brown’s clients.
  • Responsibilities will include:
  • Handling tender analysis and bidding, tender documents administration, material taking off and pricing, measurement of works, valuation of variation, etc
  • Preparing cost estimation, cost plans, extension of time claims, certifying payment and variation and final account settlement
  • Drafting contract documents for projects for the review of seniors/associates
  • Monitoring project costs in line with the approved budget
  • Developing the financial aspect of feasibility studies
  • Liaising with contractors/specialist suppliers and supporting administrative matters
  • Attending site inspections, visits, site meetings and tender interviews when required
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree, construction-related disciplines preferred (fresh graduates welcome to apply)
  • Associate degree or higher diploma in related disciplines or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy, with exposure to multiple projects (applicants with less experience will be considered as AQS)
  • Passionate about quantity surveying and furthering your career with a leading physical assets management consultancy
  • Good communication, interpersonal and client-facing skills
  • Energetic, ambitious self-starter
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong IT skills and high levels of numeracy and literacy
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
