1. Creating a Safe and Stimulating Environment: They set up classrooms with age-appropriate toys, materials, and learning experiences to encourage exploration and learning through play.
2. Developing Lesson Plans: While toddlers might not follow a traditional academic curriculum, teachers design age-appropriate activities to develop motor skills, language, and social skills, often using songs, art, sensory play, and outdoor exploration.
3. Fostering Social-Emotional Development: A toddler teacher helps children develop interpersonal skills like sharing, empathy, and cooperation through guided interactions and group activities.
4. Encouraging Communication Skills: Teachers support the development of speech and language by reading books, engaging in conversations, and encouraging toddlers to express themselves.
5. Promoting Independence and Routine: Helping toddlers learn basic self-care skills, such as feeding themselves, using the bathroom, and participating in clean-up activities, is an important part of the teacher’s role.
6. Monitoring and Reporting Development: Toddler teachers observe children’s progress and communicate with parents about milestones, behavior, and any concerns.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
