Associate – Mergers & Acquisitions (Dallas, TX)

The Opportunity:

We have anexciting opportunity for a Mergers & Acquisitions associate to join theFinance & Transactions team in our Dallas office. Ourcohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinarypractice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders andto participate in business development and client-facingactivities. About You:

• You have 3-6 years of transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, primarily focused on private company M&A;
• Your experience includes private equity/sponsor clients on acquisitions, dispositions and growth equity;
• You are able to be the lead on initial stages of a deal, such as negotiating a term sheet and drafting (or marking up) the first draft of a purchase/merger agreement;
  
• You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously;
• You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials; and
• You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, Texas.
