Associate Project Procurement Manager
Aversan Inc. ( ) is a trusted multi-service engineering and electronics manufacturing company. Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defence, and space industries.We are currently seeking a qualified (PPM) to join our team. The Associate PPM will support high-complexity bids and projects and/or manage low-complexity projects throughout the procurement lifecycle. This role is essential in planning and managing equipment procurement to streamline and secure the supply chain for assigned projects.Location: Toronto, OntarioJob Type: On SiteResponsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Acquisition Procurement Plans in collaboration with the Project Manager (PPM).
  • Independently manage procurement planning activities for low-complexity projects and customer extensions, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Support the identification and evaluation of potential suppliers in coordination with Category Management teams to ensure competitive and compliant sourcing strategies.
  • Contribute to the assessment of procurement-related risks and the formulation of mitigation strategies under the guidance of the PPM.
  • Facilitate the issuance of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) in accordance with the Industrial Project Procurement Plan.
  • Oversee the execution of procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to cost, schedule, and risk parameters.
  • Coordinate with Engineering teams to ensure the timely release of technical documentation required for procurement and manufacturing activities.
  • Monitor and manage the procurement process to ensure timely authorization and acquisition of project equipment, including spare parts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain activities on assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project deliverables and timelines.
  • Participate in engineering change management processes to ensure that design modifications are accurately reflected in procurement documentation and that associated impacts are properly recorded and addressed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in project management or project-based organizations
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of project risk evaluation and mitigation planning
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation and reporting capabilities
