The Department of Law provides academic and professional legal education across all levels, from foundation year to PhD, including our flagship LLB and LLM programmes including an exciting SQE offer. The Department is home to well over a thousand students and has trained many of the legal professionals in the region and beyond.The Department is currently looking to appoint a candidate who is a qualified Solicitor or Barrister as Director of the BCU Law Clinic with practice experience in any area. The successful candidate will contribute to all areas of activity within the Department but will have direct responsibility for the leadership and strategic direction of the Law Clinic. The Law Clinic works in partnership with the Central England Law Centre and Support Through Court and there are currently many opportunities for students to gain experience both at undergraduate and postgraduate level.The Department has a proud tradition of professional legal education and works closely with the legal profession both locally and globally. We are extremely proud of the fusion of teaching, practice and research which provides a high-quality student experience producing excellent outcomes.
