About the SchoolThis specialist SEMH school supports boys aged 5-19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school provides a therapeutic, supportive, and structured environment, tailored to help pupils re-engage with learning. Responsibilities
- Monitor and track student attendance data daily
- Follow up on absences through calls, emails, and home visits where necessary
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to improve attendance
- Maintain accurate records and produce regular attendance reports
- Support safeguarding procedures in relation to student absence
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in school administration, attendance, or pastoral roles
- Excellent communication, organisation, and IT skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality procedures
- Calm, confident, and empathetic approach – especially in challenging situations
- Experience working in SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative education settings is highly desirable
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Child & Adult Workforce)
- Two recent and relevant references
