Specialized experience must be directly related to the position being filled and is experience gained after issuance of bar membership.
This position has a positive education requirement, transcripts must be provided showing degree conferred. Official transcripts must be provided prior to appointment.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG-14: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience serving as an attorney that includes 1) drafting memoranda and other legal documents, conducting legal research, conducting formal and informal investigations, and orally presenting analysis, conclusions, and recommendations relating to administrative enforcement proceedings; and 2) interpreting and applying the consumer protection and civil rights statutes and regulations governing the activities, operations, and structure of insured depository financial institutions.

Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office two days per week.
