Department 01852 – HCI David Wetter Research Prog Job Summary
The Center for HOPE at the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Institute conducts community-engaged research, large pragmatic clinical trials, implementation science, and clinical research that focuses on healthcare system change, behavioral risk factors, chronic and infectious disease prevention, screening and vaccination, healthcare systems, and the use of state of the science mobile health technologies for both assessment and intervention. The center’s expansive portfolio of research projects collects data from various sources, including ecological momentary assessments, electronic health records, population health management tools, global positioning system/geographical information system, on-body sensors/accelerometry, surveys, and text messaging.
The Center seeks an accomplished Senior Statistical Analyst to lead analytical strategies and provide advanced statistical support for research projects. This position involves developing and executing analytic approaches and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The role requires expertise in statistical methods, research design, and data interpretation to guide decision-making and support groundbreaking research.
The successful applicant will be affiliated with the Cancer Biostatistics Shared Resource (CBSR), a Huntsman Cancer Institute shared resource. CBSR is a group of biostatisticians that engage in a wide range of collaborations in basic science, high-dimensional multiomics data analyses, translational research, epidemiology studies, biomarker selection, and clinical trials. Group members interact with other data scientists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, epidemiologists, psychometricians, health economists, survey design researchers, and systematic review experts within the campus.
