Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role is pivotal within our team, with key functions including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. The Bookkeeper will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently and accurately process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
• Monitor customer accounts and act accordingly
• Reconciliation of account balances and other financial reports with office records
• Facilitate vendor payment processes, including verification of federal ID numbers and reviewing purchase orders
• Ensure obligations are properly accounted for upon payment and identify any discount opportunities
• Assist in maintaining accounting records and ledgers
• Record, verify, and distribute petty cash
• Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices
• Carry out other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing and vendor management.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice creation and customer account management.
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Extensive Bookkeeping experience, with a focus on maintaining organized and accurate records.
• Proficiency in Data Entry, ensuring timely and accurate input of financial data.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and complex formulas.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported accurately.
• Knowledge of Payroll procedures, including processing paychecks and managing employee benefits.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, including setting up accounts, entering transactions, and generating reports.
• Familiarity with TOPS software, particularly for property management accounting.
• Experience with Posting Payments, ensuring all payments are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Knowledge of Property Management Accounting, including budgeting, financial reporting, and expense management.
