Bookkeeper in Teaneck, New Jersey

Description

We are in search of a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is based in Hackensack, New Jersey, United States and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Bookkeeper, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and resolving inquiries in a remote work setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process journal entries as part of the bookkeeping process

• Handle accounts payable duties to ensure timely and accurate payment processing

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records

• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the company’s records are in sync with bank statements

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for basic data entry and financial tracking tasks

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a bookkeeping role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations

• Strong bookkeeping skills and knowledge

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
