The Boston College Irish Studies Program, in conjunction with the Burns Library, invites applications for visiting summer fellowships. The fellowship includes gratis accommodation for the scholar and any immediate family members in a university-owned house adjacent to campus for six weeks (staying in residence for at least four weeks) beginning in or around mid-June in 2026, 2027 or 2028. The fellowship also provides reimbursement for standard airfare and ground transportation to and from Boston College for the fellow only (up to $1,500). The fellow is responsible for all other expenses.
The fellowship is open to researchers and writers in any discipline pertaining to Irish Studies. Early-career scholars are particularly encouraged to apply.
