  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in Healthcare with a particular focus on IT systems and operational support
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business analysis
  • Must have experience with clinical information systems for Surgical, Critical Care, Medical Imaging and Cardiology, etc. in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Must have experience with Surgical, Critical Care, Medical Imaging and Cardiology, etc. workflow and processes.
  • Must have experience working with clinical information systems that use HL7 integration (eg. BizTalk) and DICOM
  • Must have experience effectively communicating HL7 technical requirements to clinical stakeholders, and vice-versa, communicate clinical requirements to technical teams.
  • Must have experience in supporting testing process (test strategy/plan, creating test cases, executing testing)
  • Experience in managing complex projects that involve several integrated systems.
  • It is an asset if the proponent has experience or knowledge of specific FH processes, downstream clinical applications, and end-to-end clinical and system workflows.
  • Experience integrating downstream clinical applications with Meditech (eg: Coldfeed and discrete data integration)
  • Demonstrated clinical stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proponent shall possess strong problem solving, analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with clinical device integration is an asset.
  • PMP or CBAP certification is an asset.

Services Required:

  • The “Advance Program” is looking for a business analyst for the Health Informatics & Clinical Ancillary Solutions (HI-CAS) team, with key deliverables and activities outlined below:
  • Identify scope, system, site matrix confirming MEDITECH modules in scope by liaising with business areas and key stakeholders.
  • Lead requirements gathering and development of clinical and technical workflows across portfolios in clinical information systems for Surgical, Critical Care, Medical Imaging and Cardiology, etc. in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Develop Scope, Create Design Specifications and Transition to Operational documents for clinical information systems in scope.
  • Identify, execute and manage risks and issues including pragmatic mitigation plans associated with this work-package.
  • Work closely with the Integration Project lead to drive the day-to-day activities, as well as, ensure effective communication and escalation of risks and issues within the established project governance;
  • Support creating an overall test strategy for various specialized clinical systems that integrate with MEDITECH EXPANSE.
  • Lead integration (HL7) discussions with technical teams and clinical stakeholders, with the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to clinical stakeholders, and vice-versa communicate requirements from clinical teams to technical teams.
  • Coordinating and supporting teams through the design, build and test phases by preparing project documentation including design documents, work plans, and test plans/scripts.
  • Working with teams and vendors to prepare for and to go-live in alignment with the project schedule (deliverables may include cut-over plans, go-live plans, and operational transition plans).
