We’re looking for a dynamic Business Analyst – Water to join our team! In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with storytelling and customer engagement to deliver innovative solutions for water billing and CRM systems.If you thrive on understanding customer challenges, crafting compelling narratives around system functionalities, and showcasing their value to stakeholders, this is the perfect opportunity for you. - Analyse customer business problems, conduct gap analyses, and gather requirements to propose tailored solutions.
- Drive the development cycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with industry trends and market changes.
- Leverage and share Water industry knowledge to support Product Owners, Product Managers, and Delivery teams in prioritising and developing solutions that meet evolving industry needs.
- Stay informed about competitor products and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and challenges impacting Gentrack systems.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback on products to inform improvements and future development.
- Present solutions effectively, demonstrating system functionalities and their value in addressing customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align customer requirements with system capabilities, including test data and demo use cases for validation.
- Support tender responses for new water billing and CRM systems by interpreting industry-specific questions and outlining key requirements.
What we’re looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):
- Strong knowledge of the UK water industry
- Experience working on CRM and billing systems.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and storytelling skills to engage stakeholders and convey complex ideas persuasively.
- Experience in sales and software environments, with expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and system setup, including test data configuration.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring customer needs are understood and met.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and work autonomously with confidence and accountability.
