Business Partner Controlling – Regional Sales (m/f/d)in Germany (Bonn) or UK (Chester) for 12 monthsPurpose of the job:The Business Partner Controlling – Regional Sales is responsible for driving, measuring and communicating financial performance of the local Trading organizations, ensuring adherence and implementation of business relevant processes with overriding priority to support price setting and the terms and conditions in customer negotiations.Key Responsibilities:Pricing strategy
- Financial Business Partner to the Trading organisation, General Mangers and local sales managers
- Understand regional customers and potential price strategies to deploy
- Proactively identify and report financial risks and opportunities for regional customers
Support in Price Negotiations and tenders with regional customers
- Provide a central state-of-the-art Contract Approval Form (CAF)
- Provide insights, in-depth analysis and proposals to support internal decision-making process
- Support preparation of customer offers and presentations to send to customers
- Help define negotiation strategy and take part in face-to-face negotiations
Pricing process
- Create price tables ready for input into system
- Check actual pricing versus forecasts and various reporting tools
- Ensure adherence to Pricing and Approval DOA (Delegation of Authority) process
Reporting and Forecast
- Report actual metal management performance for the customer
- Drive financial reconciliation processes including metal and energy
- Monitor the settlement of Debit/Credit notes for the Key Accounts, eg. Rebates
- Provide commentary for reports and ad hoc requests
Processes
- Follow routine processes including those related commercial invoicing (eg. Metal reconcil-iation, rebates and claims debits and credits)
- Drive continuous improvements (process/projects/tools), cost savings, KPI’s and support standardisation/harmonization
- Support local and central projects
- Support ad hoc commercial related topics as required by management
Period Closing and Financial Controlling
- Action postings and accruals as appropriate for Trading organization closing
- Take ownership of accounts for trading organization P&L, targets and balance sheet
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with focus on Finance /Controlling and Communication
- Professional qualification in financial controlling preferred (eg. CIMA)
- Minimum 2 years financial experience as a business partner in an international, preferably manufacturing, environment
- Good financial understanding, deep understanding of business processes and business demands, an-alytical skills and creativity
- Experience: sales process, controlling, strategic thinking, planning, business case management, sce-nario planning, and financial evaluation of investment decision
