Business Systems Analyst, Engineering – Kimball International, Jasper, IN – Jasp

Role Description:

The Business Systems Analyst contributes to the purpose of Kimball International by providing business and technical expertise in the Engineering area. This role focuses on the software support for our Engineering team. This role will partner with stakeholders in our Engineering teams to identify and design improvements and translate business requirements into innovative solutions. Provides troubleshooting and support and delivers technical solutions through the full project lifecycle, from ideation to testing and implementation. Engages in project management, business partnering, and training.

Responsibilities:

• Understand the business objectives, identify all requirements necessary to deliver desired outcomes and clearly document the requirements
• Interpret and translate the business requirements into technical specifications that will be referenced during development of the solution in the appropriate software Application
• Configure, develop and/or collaborate with software development team to build the desired solution in the appropriate system
• Execute quality assurance testing to confirm newly developed solutions meet the desired business requirements
• Design and document test scenarios to prove the business requirements have been met and assist business process owners in conducting the test scenarios until the solution is accepted by the process owner
• Provide support and issue resolution of business application solutions
• Continuous development of cross functional business, application and technical skills
• Ensure adherence to Kimball International’s information management policies and procedures on information security, business resumption, and lifecycle management
• Support vision and guiding principles of Kimball International and the corresponding goals of the business units
• Identify Risk and Mitigation throughout each phase of the Project Lifecycle
• Maintain Security Roles within Business Application Solutions
• Report Status and Issues to the Project Manager(s)
• Stay Current with Best Practices and Industry Trends
• Support Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and the goals of the Business Units we provide services to

• Ability to provide software application administration and configuration
• Fundamental understanding of foundational business processes will be an advantage

Educational/Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or bachelor’s in engineering or related field

OR

• 2-3 Years equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in Siemens SolidEdge
• Understanding of application integration is a plus
• Understanding of application configuration
