DescriptionWe are looking for a Business Systems and QA Analyst who is passionate about food and enjoys working in a fast paced, customer service centric, team environment!Do you have experience as a Business Systems and QA Analyst?Why not join us?Position: Business Systems and QA AnalystJob Overview:The Business Systems and QA Analyst will be the primary point of contact for business partners and vendors regarding the assigned IT applications. Acting as a liaison between stakeholders, end users, vendors, and technology teams, they will ensure alignment on business and technical needs. In addition to business systems analysis, they will support Quality Assurance (QA) efforts by defining test strategies, executing test plans, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system reliability. They will also track deliverable progress for projects and operational resolutions. As a representative of IT, they must demonstrate strong technical and business acumen while embodying Longo’s core values as a trusted IT partner.Key Responsibilities:IT and Business Collaboration
- Promotes collaboration between IT and the Business
- Sharing ownership of business strategy and delivering business value results to better align with organizational vision
- Collaborate with BRM/Team Lead to provide operational support and act as a trusted partner as we evolve our systems to support our expected growth targets
- Facilitation of Standup Meetings
- Create project and operational dashboards
- Communicate with management, project teams, and customers to understand the business decision-making process
Business Requirements Gathering & Supporting Solution Development
- Capture functional and/or non-functional requirements
- Facilitate and participate in sessions to review requirements and identify gaps; ability to bring many different functional areas to agreement around a set of ideas to achieve the goal or bring about beneficial resolution for the organization as a whole
- Effectively communicating business requirements to 3rd party vendors to allow them to develop proposed solutions through business requirement documents and use cases and analyzing system capabilities
- Clear understanding of the business function and processes
- Managing vendors’ accountabilities in delivering/supporting the solution
- Liaising between the business and the vendor
Documentation & Communication of IT Solutions
- Effectively communicating to the business recommended solutions through design documents, process maps, technical design documents, and technical process maps
- Documentation around intended design and processes required for the solutions
- Work with IT teams in developing technical documentation
Project Management & Quality Assurance (QA)
- Ensure Project Management methodologies are followed in detail for assigned projects (Scoping, planning, and implementation)
- Design and implement QA testing plans for production issues and/or departmental project implementation as required
- Defined Test Strategy
- Governance and standardized framework for testing
Analysis & System Improvements
- Identifying root cause of reported application issues by users through strong knowledge of business processes and system capabilities
- Spot areas for improvement to enhance the implemented application’s efficiency
- Improves systems by understanding current practices and best practices and designing modifications and controls/processes to create efficiencies
- Acting as an information resource by sharing expertise and knowledge for projects and software enhancements
- Collaborating with end-users, developers, and analysts to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
Business Support & Operational Efficiency
- Provide support to business to manage data integrity, such as exceptional reports
- Provide on-call and on-site support and problem resolution for reporting and application issues
- Resolve problems for customers 24×7, evenings, and weekends when required identify data integrity issues
Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- As the team/group evolves, you will bring forward opportunities to improve our processes and partner with the business
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- 2 + years of experience within an IT/Tech environment, with 1+ years in Project Implementation roles.
- BSA / QA experience and involved in all phases of project life cycle, including requirements gathering, risk analysis, requirements / QA planning, scheduling, testing, defect tracking management, and reporting.
- Bachelor’ s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analysis or similar.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills with an eye for attention to detail
- Previous experience with ERP GOLD System, Finance practice, Operations and supply chain practices.
- Agile and Waterfall methodology
- Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid (remote and on-site)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines
- Travel to stores and warehouse locations as required.
