The opportunity:

We are seeking talented and energetic candidates to join our Advisory, Management Consulting team as a Full Time Consultant/Senior Consultant working in our Calgary practice starting in Winter (January) 2025. Positions are available in the following service lines:

  • Technology Strategy and Transformation
  • Enterprise Solution

What you will do

Technology Strategy and Transformation 

KPMG’s Technology Strategy and Transformation service is a part of Management Consulting practice. It is designed to help businesses align their technology capabilities with their strategic and operational objectives. This service provides guidance on how to leverage technology to transform business operations, improve performance, and create value. The Technology Strategy and Transformation service includes various aspects such as IT strategy development, IT cost optimization, IT architecture and solutions design, digital and emerging technology solutions, IT service management, and IT sourcing and procurement. The goal is to help organizations make informed decisions about technology investments and deployments, and to manage the risks associated with these decisions.

Enterprise Solutions & Services

Enterprise Solutions is another part of Management Consulting practice that focused on helping businesses improve their performance and manage risk. The practice provides a wide range of services in various technologies such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Workday. KPMG Enterprise Solutions and Services is known of its innovative approach to problem-solving and its commitment to delivering high quality services. Our practice works to bring expertise in services covering end to end system implementations, business enablement and technology transformations. It employes professionals with a wide range of skills and backgrounds, including business analysts, technology specialists, developers, solution architects, and project managers. The professionals work together to provide solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of each client.

What you bring to the role

KPMG’s Technology Consulting places a strong emphasis on continuous learning and professional development. As a university graduate joining this practice, you would have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, learn from experienced professionals, and develop a broad set of skills that could be valuable in a variety of career paths.

FOR CONSULTANT LEVEL:

  • You must be eligible to work in Canada
  • You are enrolled in a university degree program (we will be considering candidates from a spectrum of programs such as Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Arts, etc.). Only the candidates who have already graduated, or will be graduating during December 2024 should apply.
  • You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities 
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • You have a strong academic record, you are curious and are eager to learn new skills 
  • You have the ability to work independently without much supervision in fast paced environment
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure 
  • You have a strong sense of personal accountability 
  • You have an entrepreneurial drive, and are a creative problem solver who can embrace change

FOR SENIOR CONSULTANT LEVEL:

Senior Consultants usually join Management Consulting with significant work experience, coming from an MBA, PhD, MD, JD or other advanced degree program. Senior Consultant are expected to be able to come into the Management Consulting team and immediately make a significant impact. Those coming from undergraduate degrees or master’s degrees with less than 2 years’ work experience should consider applying for the Consultant position

  • You must be eligible to work in Canada
  • You have a bachelor’s/master’s degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field. Candidates graduating between December 2022 and December 2024 should apply.
  • You are passionate about technology and innovation
  • You are a highly motivated individual, enthusiastic about taking on a variety of challenges and opportunities
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and professional maturity; demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse group of clients and colleagues 
  • You have the ability to work independently without supervision in fast paced environment
  • You have strong problem solving and analytical abilities, as well as a proven track record of successfully dealing with competing priorities and deadlines under pressure 
  • You have a strong sense of personal accountability
