The Institute of Energy of Peking University was founded in May 2020. Peking university is one of the top universities in China which ranks #14 in the QS World University Ranking in 2025. The institute of energy of Peking University is oriented towards the national energy development strategy, aiming to build an international-level energy think tank and energy technology research and development platform. The main research directions include energy strategy and policy, smart energy, unconventional resources, geothermal energy, new types of energy, and international cooperation. The research institute has gradually become a multi-dimensional research team composed of professors and research scientists from various research fields.

1)Distinguished professor/professor

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree
• Engaged in cutting-edge scientific research in the field of energy, especially AI, energy storage, energy strategy and policy, natural gas, carbon neutrality and energy technology, unconventional resources, etc.
• Have experiences in teaching/research in well-known universities or research institutions
• Strong teaching ability and research productivity

2)  Assistant/Associate Research Professor

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree
• Engaged in cutting-edge scientific research in the field of energy, especially energy storage, energy strategy and policy, smart oilfield, natural gas, carbon neutrality and energy technology, etc.
• Research experience and work background in the relevant fields

3) Postdoctoral Fellows

• Two recommendation letters
• One explicit endorsement letter by the postdoc supervisor at Peking University
