Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for supporting and contributing to the daily operations of the Cash Application and Collections department. Duties include ownership of cash flow through daily reconciliation of lockbox payments and daily collections activities in a high volume, goal-oriented team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain our commitment to continuous improvement by improving the collection process along with the quality of service provided to our Customers.

  • Adopt new business processes that promote automation and reduce complexity.

  • Collaborate with Field and Central teams to determine root causes of issues leading to past-due invoices; implement action plans to eliminate these root causes.

  • Minimize exposure to bad debt.

  • Proactively review outstanding balances.

  • Proactively identify risk accounts.

  • Manage assigned customer accounts.

  • Reduce outstanding past-due balances to levels at or below targets for contractual accounts.

  • Investigate root causes for non-payment.

  • Compile and implement recommendations towards improving Accounts Receivable (reduction of past-due balances, reduction of remittance issues leading to unapplied payments).

  • Report results to department management and/or Shared Service customers.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Excel pivot tables.

  • Experience in accounts receivable/payable.

  • Strong data reconciliation and collection skills.

  • Experience with cash application processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Open to entry-level candidates or someone with at least 1-2 years of AR experience.

  • Experience in a high volume/fast-paced environment.

  • Distribution experience is helpful.

  • SAP experience is ideal, but any other ERP system works too.

  • Good communication skills as the role involves being on the phones a significant amount.

  • Willingness to eventually cross-train in both cash applications and collections.

Work Environment

The position requires working onsite from Monday to Friday. Employees do not need to pay for parking.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $22.00/hr.
