CDL Transport Driver – Merriam, KS

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting CDL Transport Driver opportunity in our Merriam office. The CDL Transport Driver will be responsible for completing pre-trip / post trip inspection of Seaboard Food’s company trailers and tractors located at the St Joseph plant in addition to shuttling trailers to various locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preventive Maintenance on tractors and trailers (pre-trip / post trip inspections)
• Communicate to the maintenance supervisor about repairs needed
• Coordinate through dispatch moving the equipment to and from maintenance locations
• Trailer wash outs
• Coordinate through dispatch moving trailers from customer to plant
• Local runs

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• High School or GED.
• Class A CDL license required
• Analytically and mechanically minded.
• Local driving experience preferred

SCHEDULE Monday – Friday 4:00 am to 12:00 pm.

• Some overtime may be required
• Some Saturdays may be required
• Some flexibility in start and end times may be needed

• The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
