Job Title: Chemical Production Operator (GMP/Cleanroom)

Location: North Chicago, IL

Pay Rate: $35/hr

Schedule: 3rd Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotating shift, 3 days on / 2 days off)

Training: Initial 2–4 weeks on 1st shift (daytime)

Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Production Operators to join our cleanroom manufacturing team in a GMP-regulated environment. In this role, you will work with sophisticated equipment, support production activities, and ensure products meet the highest safety and quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates with chemical operator experience who are seeking a long-term career path with a global pharmaceutical leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor equipment in a cleanroom GMP environment.
• Perform inspections of parts/products for quality and compliance.
• Set up and monitor equipment at a basic to intermediate level.
• Maintain accurate production records in compliance with GMP standards.
• Follow strict safety, sanitation, and PPE protocols (all PPE provided).
• Collaborate as part of a shift-based team, while owning individual daily tasks/stations.
• Support utilities-related processes including HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 4–7 years of chemical operator experience (pharma, chemical, or food manufacturing strongly preferred).
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating schedule). Must be aware of and committed to the demands of working 3rd shift.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and respirator fit test.
• Strong attention to detail, compliance mindset, and safety-first approach.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Associate Degree in Natural Sciences or Chemistry.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or food manufacturing.
• Mechanical certifications or hands-on maintenance background (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water treatment).
• Previous military experience (valued for discipline and adaptability).

Pay Details: $35.00 per hour
